Originally from the Monterey Bay Area of Central California, Kris Hyland was raised in a real-estate family.  Her father exposed her to the many facets of real estate from the developmental concept to commercial investments. He also ingrained in her the importance “of being true to my word,” and holding herself to the highest of work ethic standards. On her first visit to the Colorado Rockies & the Ten Mile Range, she fell in love and found her true home.  She moved to Breckenridge in 1979, she has spent the last thirty years working in and watching her community grow and prosper. 

          She began her real estate career on the administrative side.  After two years of additional training, she opened her own business, Mountain Real Estate Resources; offering her expertise to her clients in the buying, selling, and marketing of Breckenridge & Summit County Real Estate.  In addition to sales, she became a master of transaction management.  At that time, other brokers came to her to manage their contracts (deadlines, inspections, calls, keeping their clients up to date, etc.).  She averaged 200 contracts annually, an impressive amount anywhere, but for Breckenridge nothing short of spectacular.  Her ability to negotiate & execute contracts is second to none.

          Through the years of living here she has also acquired a comprehensive understanding of short-term rental management. Her hands on work with individual owners, condo associations, subdivisions, and other investment property is now second nature for her.
